Variti chosen as part of UK’s government cyber security programme

Variti is proud to announce that the London Office for Rapid Cybersecurity Advancement (LORCA) selected Variti as part of the fourth cohort of cyber security innovators.

LORCA is a government-backed innovation programme. The main qualities of the new accelerator participants are AI-based solutions to increase the protection of the UK industry against latest threats. As the global industry searches for efficient methods to fend off machine-speed threats, LORCA highlighted 20 innovative companies to support in a year long programme to scale, secure investment and access new markets with the ultimate aim of progressing the British cybersecurity industry and ability to secure against new threats.

LORCA takes zero equity or IP in the scaleups, which will also receive technical and commercial support from the programme’s delivery partner Deloitte and engineering expertise from the Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT) at Queen’s University Belfast. Companies also benefit from engaging closely with the industry, including directly with LORCA’s corporate partners, events, LORCA’s forums and through introductions to LORCA’s international network.

Cybersecurity is not just about data protection but is key in enabling sustainable growth for the economy, as highlights by Saj Huq LORCA Programme Director: “LORCA exists to bring cutting-edge technology to market and to enable the most promising cyber innovators to become globally competitive businesses”.

Variti, powered by machine learning, specialises in malicious bot detection and prevention starting from the very first request and without affecting end users; it protects websites and APIs across all verticals such as e commerce, media and finance.
